Electrical Design Engineer – Chennai

Detail job description with experience range and location hereby:
Position: Design Engineer (Electrical)
Department: Engineering – Sales

Experience: 3-4 years of Engineering Experience with AutoCAD knowledge
Education: Electrical Engineering in B.E (or) B.Tech
Key Skills:

1. Good working Knowledge in AutoCAD 2D (SLD & Schematic drawings)
2. Good knowledge of Engineering Design principles & material properties (Electrical).
3. Working knowledge of MS Office.
4. Knowledge of applicable codes related to electrical operations & safety
5. Knowledge of controllers like programmable logic controllers (PLC) etc.
6. Knowledge in network logical topology to support the networking systems
7. Need to be a good Team player & ability to meet deadlines
8. Good verbal & written Communication skills.
   Job Responsibility:
9. Read & study Electrical drawings to understand Electrical systems & controls
10. Create AutoCAD Electrical drawings (wiring diagrams (SLD), Schematic diagrams, pictorial
    drawings based on the requirements)
11. Make necessary Electrical calculations for product design Development such as for power,
    efficiency calculations, cable types & sizing etc.
12. Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes & client’s requirements by directing or
    coordinating with supplier & manufacturer.
13. Study & prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipments and materials
14. Supervising & training project team members
15. Testing new systems design & making changes if needed
16. Technical support to local vendors to finalizing the Electrical controls & systems for local
    manufacturing.
17. Standardization & documentation of the electrical drawing for record & reference.
18. Support for costing for Customized and nonstandard design arrangement.
19. Read & Study the communication data structure to understand the system design & modify
    to develop the network communication.
20. Technical support on networking systems & Data Communication protocol (LAN, TCP etc..)
21. Read & study the programmable circuits to modify or develop the system.
22. Delivering Product presentations and demos.
