We are seeking an experienced ‘Systems Engineer and Administrator’ with a strong background in managing cloud services, particularly Azure. As a Systems Engineer and Administrator, he/she will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its security, reliability, and performance. This is a remote/work-from-home position.

1. Role: Systems Engineer and Administrator
2. Job Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure.
- Manage and monitor cloud services to ensure optimal performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and implement appropriate cloud solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system uptime.
- Implement and maintain cloud security measures, including access controls, identity management, and data encryption.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to cloud services and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization of cloud resources.
- Collaborate with Dev teams to automate deployment and configuration processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Possess knowledge of the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) certification process and actively contribute to maintaining compliance.
3. Other requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in managing cloud services, with a strong focus on Azure.
- Strong expertise in Azure services, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, identity and access management (IAM), etc.
- Proficiency in implementing and managing cloud monitoring systems, such as Kibana, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, including network security, data encryption, and identity management.
- Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, configuration management, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of the PCI DSS certification process and the ability to contribute to maintaining compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive and analytical mindset.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications in Azure or cloud technologies (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
